The administration of the Strategic Development Agency and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency met to discuss areas of possible mutually beneficial cooperation.
The focus is on several areas of potential partnership. On the part of Turkey – this is advisory assistance in developing an international branding strategy for Uzbekistan and the SDA’s contact output to the Turkish government as part of an experience exchange program to prepare a vision of “Uzbekistan 2040” . In turn, SDA informed colleagues that it is ready to provide information and legal advice for Turkish investors who today want to be present in the republic market.
«Uzbekistan is a historically important partner for Turkey. At the present stage of the country’s development, especially in the last five years, the interest of Turkish companies in Uzbekistan has grown many times. And this is obviously the result of the reforms that have been implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years.
I think that the areas we are talking about today should be the starting point in our cooperation. On the way of forming a positive image of Turkey in the world, achieving strategic goals of socio-economic growth, we have made mistakes in our history, which may have delayed the final result.
Therefore, you have a good opportunity, using the best foreign experience, to achieve your goals much faster and more efficiently», – Jemalettin Tunei, Representative Director of TIKA in Uzbekistan.
Another item on the agenda of the meeting is the issue of technical and personnel assistance for the analysis of the existing system of assessment of regulatory impact in Uzbekistan, development of recommendations and draft regulatory acts aimed at its improvement.
A number of other important issues were discussed at the meeting, on which the parties plan to begin cooperation.
