Yesterday, February 13, 2024, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was presented with information on key strategic reforms that will be implemented this year. Today, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Finance J.A. Kuchkarov, an online discussion took place on the implementation of the tasks set by the President and proposals brought up for discussion during the above-mentioned presentation.
The discussion was attended by senior management and senior officials of the Presidential Administration, the Agency for Strategic Reforms, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, as well as more than 20 other ministries and departments.
As a result of the discussion of strategic reforms presented to the President of Uzbekistan, it was decided to develop an action plan covering five key areas – transport, urbanization and town planning, entrepreneurship development, agriculture and energy. The importance of a scientific and innovative approach for the successful implementation of strategic initiatives was also emphasized.
As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that each of the identified areas will receive a clear action plan with clearly defined deadlines and persons responsible for their implementation. Thus, all discussion participants unanimously agreed on the need to speed up the process.
