A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms on key issues in the development of the construction industry in Uzbekistan and consideration of innovative approaches to planning urban space, including the creation of a “Digital Twin” of the city of Tashkent. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of ASR R. Azizov, First Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of the Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction Bakhrom Tulaganov, as well as Agency employees J. Agzamov and J. Ubaydullaev.
During the meeting, current trends and challenges in the industry were discussed, such as the need to improve the quality of building materials, ensuring that buildings comply with modern energy efficiency and environmental standards, as well as training qualified personnel. Particular attention was paid to the concept of a “Digital Twin” – a digital copy of a real city. This tool can simulate various aspects of urban life, from traffic flows to environmental changes, making it an indispensable tool for planning and managing urban development.
During the meeting, it was noted that the creation of a “Digital Twin” of the city of Tashkent can bring a number of benefits, such as effective management of urban infrastructure, rapid response to changes and optimization of public services, construction planning, accurate modeling of new facilities, assessment of their impact on the environment and infrastructure, improving safety, analyzing traffic and pedestrian data to prevent accidents, attracting investment, demonstrating the city’s potential based on accurate data and development forecasts. B. Tulaganov emphasized that the integration of the “Digital Twin” into the Tashkent city management system can be a significant step towards the digitalization of the country and ensure more efficient management of urban resources, which in turn contributes to the sustainable development of the urban environment.
In conclusion, it was noted that the successful implementation of the Digital Twin project requires close cooperation between educational institutions, authorities, the private sector and international experts. This will allow us to collect the necessary knowledge, experience and technology to create an effective digital platform that promotes the progress and prosperity of the city of Tashkent.
