On February 9, 2024, a meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms with senior representatives of VEON AdTech, which focuses on analyzing the behavior of Internet users. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Director of the Agency A. Abdukadirov, Director of VEON AdTech George Held, Agency employee B. Kurbanov and representatives of VEON Ad Nikolay Andryukhin, Bekzod Suvankulov and Vladislav Yakovlev.
During the meeting, the director of Veon AdTech provided an overview of the company’s services, highlighting their role in effectively operating the digital advertising and data analytics sector. Nikolay Andryukhin and Bekzod Suvankulov demonstrated successful cases of using Big Data and AdTech solutions in Uzbekistan and other countries.
During the discussions, key areas of cooperation between the Agency and Veon were also identified, including the use of large data sets generated by mobile operators to analyze the behavioral patterns of Internet users. These data provide a fairly accurate picture of the reasons for the daily migration of the urban population, the nature of crowds of people and cars, and can also be used to analyze the reasons for entrepreneurs leaving for shadow business, the motivation for hiding income and other important aspects.
Issues of information security and understanding the ultimate goals of research were also discussed. The meeting confirmed the interest of both parties in deepening cooperation and developing new tools for data analysis and digital advertising.
