The Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR) held a meeting with representatives of the leading consulting company Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to discuss the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States.
At the meeting, which was attended by ASR Director B. Rakhmatov, Deputy Director R. Azizov, ASR Group Head J. Agzamov, as well as Managing Director and Partner, Head of the Central Asian and Caspian Region of BCG R. Nuriev and BCG Representative I. Alekseev, discussions aspects of the integrated development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
BCG consultants noted that as a result of the meetings, a Practical Action Plan was developed and approved for the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States, including the program of initiatives of the Boston Consulting Group.
Taking into account the importance of these initiatives for the economic development of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Strategic Reforms is considering the creation of an “Office of Strategic Management”. Also in the plans are the identification of key industries to achieve economic growth, providing support to state banks in their transformation, developing a strategy for managing problem loans, increasing energy efficiency, and implementing the “Deep Gas of Ustyurt” project and developing a plan for the implementation of the Digital Twin of the city of Tashkent with the involvement of experts.
The Agency for Strategic Reforms expects productive interaction with BCG and the long-term impact of these activities on the economic picture of the country.
