In an online meeting organized by the Agency for Strategic Reforms with the participation of the “Vatandoshlar” Public Foundation and the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation, more than 230 compatriots from prestigious foreign universities, scientific organizations and companies discussed the priority areas of reforms proposed for implementation in Uzbekistan in 2024 .
Participants from the UK, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, USA, France, South Korea submitted more than 40 proposals in 12 key areas, including energy, agricultural relations, water management, entrepreneurship, healthcare and public administration.
In particular, compatriot Askarali Karimov proposed expanding the forms of private property based on the experience of the United States, where more than 80 percent of land belongs to the non-state sector.
Zafar Safaev, who lives in Germany, initiated a gradual transition from single-phase to three-phase power supply to household consumers in order to ensure uninterrupted and moderate electricity consumption.
Yuldashbek Saidov spoke in detail about the French system of admission to the civil service and proposed to study the experience of France in this area, in which the competitive system is divided into 3 categories (A, B and C) depending on the status of the organization and the proposed position.
The most promising proposals are reflected in the Plan of practical measures for the implementation of strategic reforms in 2024, developed by the ASR.
Along with this, the ASR proposed to discuss each of the 17 priority areas of reform in more depth, and therefore a schedule of online meetings with compatriots has been prepared starting January 13, 2024.
