Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, paid an official visit to France in November of last year at Emmanuel Macron’s invitation. Agreements to increase cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, and other areas were established as a consequence of high-level conversations. We worked on the Coca-Cola privatization process, which was completed last year. We are now preparing Uzbekneftegaz for possible privatization and are also working with Uztransgaz to secure funding to modernize their networks.
Was also very pleased to talk with the management of Sanoat Qurilish Bank, which is considering the possibility of privatization with the assistance of International financial institutions. So the reforms that the government of Uzbekistan is implementing to modernize the country are very impressive. We are pleased to participate in the implementation of reforms aimed at modernizing the sectors of the economy and improving the quality of life of the population of Uzbekistan.”
