The largest financial and industrial company in the world, Mitsui Group, which the Japanese trading firm Mitsui & Co. is a member of, is active in the energy, mechanical engineering, chemical, food, and textile sectors.
It demonstrates interest in doing business in certain sectors of the Uzbek market. This was mentioned by Kazumasa Miyazawa, Deputy Director General of Mitsui & Co. Moscow, during a meeting with the Deputy Director General of the SDA.

Therefore, the Japanese corporation aims to invest in several strategic sectors in Uzbekistan, including the chemical, energy, textile, and healthcare sectors as well as geological investigation.
Following the discussion, agreements were established about the SDA and Mitsui & Co.’s participation in the creation of prospective investment projects intended to boost commerce between Uzbekistan and Japan.
