The meetings of Customs Working Groups under the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) were held in Tashkent as part of a U.S. Department of Commerce delegation’s visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the TIFA Working Group meeting on “Digital Trade”, the Strategic Development Agency (SDA) presented information on the SDA’s activities and expressed its readiness to start practical implementation of joint projects aimed at improving trade activities in the republic and integrating Uzbekistan into multilateral trade agreements.
As a result of the working group meeting among the Strategic Development Agency, the U.S. Department of Commerce and other participants, it is agreed on practical cooperation in the framework of the created Accelerator of Strategic Initiatives at the Agency, which focuses on the operational and effective solution of issues in the field of increasing investment activity and entrepreneurship in the country.
